Minderoo Foundation has launched an ambitious plan to lift resilience so fires and floods never become disasters. The impressive team has spent the past 12 months building a scalable program and driving exceptional results.
The Minderoo Foundation Fire and Flood Resilience initiative exists to reduce the harm caused by fires and floods by harnessing the collective power of our communities, industry, corporates, government, philanthropy and the research sector to lift Australia to be the global leader in fire and flood resilience by 2025.
We cannot allow ourselves to be in the same position as we are now in 2025. We owe it to the communities that we serve.
We have the resources, the will, the talent and expertise to make impact and this will be achieved together, with our growing network of partners both in Australia and globally.
We cannot do this alone, but together we can.
We need to adapt now and invest in resilience to ensure fires and floods never cause such widespread devastation in the future.
Until now, there has not been a focused and coordinated global effort to achieve the change that is needed across the system now. We need to make impact and make it fast.
Enduring change at speed and with scale is needed across all sectors and at a global level.
Access the Fire and Flood Resilience initiative proposal which outlines opportunities to co-contribute towards lifting resilience at the program level, and at the project level.
Established by Andrew and Nicola Forrest in 2001, we are a modern philanthropic organisation seeking to break down barriers, innovate and drive positive, lasting change.
