Based in Amsterdam or Brussels, the Public Affairs Director for NPW will focus on the global coordination of NPW’s public affairs strategy aimed at achieving support by regulators for Sea the Future’s market based mechanism, and embedding a new taxonomy of responsible, safe plastics in law and regulation globally. This strategy will cover the EU, US, Australia, and key jurisdictions in Asia, including Indonesia and China.

In collaboration with other team members, the Senior Research Officer will drive and be directly involved in the development and implementation of novel cellular & molecular approaches for marine wildlife assessment and monitoring.
Under the direction of the OceanOmics Research Director and Senior Research Fellows, the Research Officer will participate in the conception and execution of a variety of experimental procedures focused on using marine cell-free and cell-bound DNA in combination with next-generation sequencing to understand and advance marine ecology.
