But when you’re starting your career, pathways into the for-purpose sector aren’t always obvious. You might know you want your work to matter without knowing what opportunities exist, where your skills fit or how to get started.

The Minderoo For-Purpose Fellowship offers a paid pathway into Australia’s for-purpose sector.

The fellowship is a paid, full-time program running from 8 February 2027 to 15 December 2028.

Across the program, Fellows will have the opportunity to:

  • Experience different parts of the sector through placements across different organisations.
  • Learn by doing and collaborating with experienced people.
  • Contribute to real projects while developing practical skills.
  • Receive mentoring, professional development and structured learning.

Whether your strengths are in problem solving, analysis, communication, relationships, strategy or just getting things done, there are ways to put those skills to work on the issues you care about.

Throughout the Fellowship, you’ll be employed by Minderoo Foundation and undertake structured placements across a range of leading for-purpose organisations, helping you discover where you can make your greatest contribution while building a strong foundation for a meaningful career.
