From the air, Ningaloo Reef looks untouched - full of colour and life. But beneath the surface, things are changing fast.

A major marine heatwave in early 2025 has caused widespread coral bleaching, putting this World Heritage-listed reef under serious stress.

In Focus: Ningaloo Coral Bleaching follows local scientists and community members as they assess the damage and search for signs of hope. Through on-the-ground research and personal stories, the film explores how climate change is affecting the reef - and what can still be done to help.

Despite the challenges, there are glimmers of resilience. Some corals are still spawning, and the race to protect them is on. Watch the video to see what’s at stake - and why this moment matters for Ningaloo’s future.
