WHY WE CARE

Creating physical and digital collaborative spaces helps to drive breakthroughs

We support the development of key strategic infrastructure projects — both physical buildings and digital frameworks — that unite people and technology to accelerate cancer research and treatment.

Although buildings and digital platforms can’t solve cancer alone, they are critical to providing the infrastructure needed to enable effective collaboration and data sharing.

We back Australian and world-first infrastructure projects which have the potential to transform cancer care and research.

OUR WORK

Major projects underway:

Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre

We leveraged our foundational $20 million grant to help create Australia’s first children’s comprehensive cancer centre. Opening in Sydney in 2025, the centre will co-locate more than 900 cancer scientists, researchers and clinicians to better integrate research into clinical care.

Minderoo Centre for Advanced Diagnostics and Telehealth

We invested $10 million in the Minderoo Centre for Advanced Diagnostics and Telehealth at the Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre. Opening in Melbourne in 2024, the centre will develop and apply new technology and artificial intelligence to accelerate research and improve how skin cancer and melanoma is screened, diagnosed and treated across Australia.
