We only have one planet. Minderoo Foundation is investing in programs that encourage the preservation of, and access to, our natural environment.
With WA as our focus, we support programs that improve and sustain a healthy ecosystem, preserve cultural heritage and encourage deeper environmental awareness in the community. We want to ensure we can all continue to enjoy our natural environment now and into the future.
Our key environmental partnership is with the Kimberley Foundation Australia, supporting the establishment of a new chair in Archaeological Science at the University of Melbourne. This partnership will help drive the scientific understanding of Indigenous rock art to further understand Australia’s archaeological record of human origins, advance rock art dating techniques and promote its national and international significance.
Minderoo Foundation’s support for the Busselton Jetty will help with the rehabilitation of the jetty piles and the development of new underwater structures to enhance local habitats. It will also support the implementation of a marine lab to provide interactive scientific activities on marine research and environmental conservation.
